PLease help me!

hie...i'm facing a common issue which is transferring project from a pc to a different pc. i'm sure alot of the web developers would face this problem when they need to transfer their project from one pc to another.
well, the project was working well in the machine which run on win 2000 pro however does not work properly when i transfered it to another pc which run on win xp platform.
does this have anything to do with the iis setting? if it does, please advice on how i can resolve this issue. thanx

Have you tested if your web server is running on the new machine? See if you can view the localhost page.
Several things might need to be tried when you migrate your app. Web server is the first one to look at.
Does the new Server runs Windows XP Home or Windows XP Pro ?


if you are using the DB instnace for SQL server that need to be merged and tested as well

If you have Win XP home, you need to upgrade to Pro to be able to install IIS, else the problem is something else and you will need to provide us with more information on the errors you are getting to be able to track your problem.
